A message from Dean Demarest: The Vestry of St. Michael's has given a challenge grant for earthquake relief. For every dollar given, St. Michael's will match that amount up to $5000. Our goal is to send a total of $10,000 to Episcopal Relief and Development for earthquake relief in Haiti. Checks should be made out to "St. Michael's Cathedral" and noted "for Haiti". Your support will mean a great deal to the people of Haiti. Thank you.
An update from Dean Demarest - I am delighted and grateful to report that as of Sunday, February 7th, we have collected $17, 493 from the people of St. Michael's (including the 5k grant from the Vestry). Since donations are still arriving, my hope is that we will hit $20,000 by the time we're finished. This does not include donations sent directly to Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD) from St. Michael's members. We will send all we have received to ERD by week's end. Thank you for all your generosity and support for the people of Haiti!
