Participants engage in an incentive program earning points for making healthy choices and redeeming points for baby items.

Text Box: BabySteps opened in February 2003. A small group of parishioners began welcoming limited-income women into a supportive community of education with an incentive program geared to encourage prenatal care and healthy choices. Instructors are parishioners and community volunteers. BabySteps has greatly benefited from the generosity of our cathedral family who donate diapers and baby items to encourage and support BabySteps participants. BabySteps has enrolled over 100 women each year and to date has served over 650 women and their families. Many community partners send instructors, refer women and their families and support the activities of the program. The ECW and Les Bois Rotary provide regular donations to help purchase diapers– the most often requested incentive item.

The mission of BabySteps is to welcome limited income, pregnant and  parenting women and their  families into a program of  education  and support to improve the health of women and children, strengthen
families and optimize every child’s development    

Join this ministry a few hours each month! Volunteers, instructors and donations needed. Your gift of teaching, listening, caring, organizing or supporting can all find meaning and value at BabySteps.
