Worship Ministries

Through the work of the Worship Committee, clergy, music staff and musicians, we seek to offer music for the glory of God, assisting the people of the Cathedral in their worship and providing spiritual nourishment to the community.

Inside of CathedralServices are conducted according to the Book of Common Prayer (1979) of the Episcopal Church USA.

Some of the service opportunities in the realm of worship include:

Music --The Cathedral Choir, Treble Choir, Music at St. Michael's series including the Lenten Evensong and Concerts, and the Mother's Day Youth Concert.

Altar Guild -- Charged with care for all the altars, preparing for all services, maintaining linens, vessels and necessary supplies, in addition to other special duties such as ordering flowers and arranging chairs/ pews.

Ushers & Greeters -- Individuals, couples and families enhance the worship experience for all, in addition to integrating visitors into our welcoming faith community.

Lay Eucharistic Ministry -- Lectors, Lay Eucharistic Ministers, Lay Eucharistic Visitors and Lay Readers assist the clergy during worship services as well as sharing Eucharist with those unable to attend worship services.
